Helping Hands

I have said it once and I will say it again… the help you have makes all the difference. I subscribe whole heartedly to the notion that “many hands make light of the work”. People ask how I manage this menagerie and there is no easy answer. To be clear each day passes before the chore lists are done. Leaving items as rollovers to another day no longer hits my spirit as a failure, because it once did. No more obsessing over crossing everything off the list. Prioritizing the list and setting daily goals works for me now, but of course the more help you have the more you can accomplish. I have some awesome helping hands behind the scenes that tackle a lot of my logistics. I dream up projects and they build them, this is absolutely essential in making my fantasy a reality. My children, Blaize and Denali, are also growing up in this life so the only way they know is lending a helping hand. I have grown Not By Luck Ranch to a point where even more help is now needed. With burn season upon us my main goal is getting dry wood into a burn pile before the snow starts to fall. In 2024 I will be hosting some special events and will need help with those, goat cheese and wine anyone? If you are interested in volunteering on a burn day or at a fundraiser please send me an email! Surround yourself with the best help you can, learn to prioritize, and make peace with your limitations. Many hands really does make light of the work…being surrounded by animals while you work also really helps :)
