Little Hooves Goat Walk Club: walk, care for, and learn with goats

A gentle, ranch experience for kids. This is a small, recurring club designed for children who love animals and routine.

Little Hooves Goat Walk Club is a nature-based children’s program at Not By Luck Ranch where kids slow down, connect with animals, and build confidence through hands-on experiences with our friendly goats.

Each session includes a short guided goat walk, gentle animal care, imaginative play, and simple ranch learning designed just for kids. Children learn responsibility, empathy, and respect for animals while enjoying fresh air, movement, and plenty of goat love.

Our small group setting ensures every child feels safe, supported, and seen. Whether your child is shy, curious, energetic, or animal-obsessed, this program meets them right where they are.

Club size: Limited group size for safety and calm animals

Ages: 4 to 10

Meeting Date: Second Sunday of the month, March to November with a graduation bonfire in December. December bonfire is by invitation only to club members who earn 6 or more passport stamps.

Meeting Time: 10 AM to 11 AM

This experience is not stroller or wheelchair accessible and does require walking on forested mountain trails on dirt with lots of natural debris. Our Little Hooves Goat Walk experience will last about 60 minutes each month. No DOGS or other outside animals allowed, please leave your pets at home and enjoy ours.

A signed liability release will be required for every person in attendance and will be provided at check-in. Please have your little one wear closed toed shoes appropriate for hiking and being around livestock.

We know our young friends will be enchanted by the goats and we can’t wait to make this a club they won’t forget.

Goat Walks are open to all ages but best enjoyed by guests 10 & over. Often the free roaming goats are overwhelming to our little animal loving friends.

The unicorns will soon be visiting Not By Luck Ranch and you are invited to join the fun! These magical creatures have agreed to hang around for one weekend so all can enjoy their charm. Take a walk along the Unicorn Trail on your way to meet their animal friends.

Let your imagination run wild. Dozens of unicorns will make themselves visible during this special walk. At the end of the Unicorn Trail your adventure continues as you hang out in our Animal Village. Meet the goats, rabbits, ducks, chickens and donkeys that call Not By Luck Ranch home.

Kids of all ages are invited to step into our forest of imagination to enjoy the whimsy of Not By Luck Ranch. The Farmstand will also be open with pizza and snacks available for purchase.

This experience is not stroller or wheelchair accessible and does require walking on a forested mountain trail (about 0.25 round trip). Your Unicorn Trail experience will last about 90 minutes. No DOGS or other outside animals, please leave your pets at home and enjoy ours.

Every person in attendance must have a ticket purchased in advance and a signed liability release on file. All children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Please wear closed toed shoes appropriate for hiking, livestock and of course dragons!

Burro is the name for a donkey from the wild. A female donkey is called a jenny.

Meet our sweet-natured herd of rescued wild burros—lovingly known as our Jackpot Jennies. We call them that because the day we rescued them truly felt like hitting the jackpot, and we believe you’ll feel it too the moment you meet them.

This peaceful, guided experience invites you to slow down and connect with these gentle giants in a meaningful way. Learn about wild burros and the importance of their protection, spend quiet time with the herd, and experience firsthand the calm, joy, and hope that donkeys so naturally offer. Along the way, you’ll have opportunities to feed them treats, take beautiful photos, and simply be present with these soulful animals.

The highlight of the experience is the Donkey Walk, where your duo will be paired with one of our burros and walk together at her pace—an unforgettable moment of trust, connection, and quiet companionship.

**Each Donkey Walk ticket purchase is valid for up to two guests.**
